BATTLE KITTY
In 2019 I worked with Netflix’s show creators Matt and Paul Layzell on Battle Kitty, an interactive children’s television series. I specifically helped with pre-vis animation and boarding the interactive elements of the project.
Battle Kitty is an interactive Netflix show which features a super-mario-style world map that viewers use to select episodes and other bonus content to watch. While on this map, characters from the show are in a simplified design called “chibi mode”.
INTERACTIVE MAP
My main role on Battle Kitty was to help board the interactive portions of the project and provide an animation reference for the animators at the overseas studio Plastic Wax. Below are some of the character animations I created for the interactive map.
BATTLE KITTY PRE-VIS
In addition to helping with Battle Kitty’s interactive map, I also helped with a few special effects, such as Zaza Royale’s sword animation and Kitty’s Bow select menu.
